It is with deep sorrow that we have learnt of the death of Cathy Constant, at home in Keynsham, on Friday 2 December 2020. Cathy contributed to the Hatchments of Britain Series (Volume 7 for Somerset and for Gloucestershire; we illustrate one of her photographs for that survey), and was a much loved and respected member of The City of Bath Heraldic Society, which conferred on her Honorary Life Membership, having served as Secretary and as Chairman, beside being the person responsible for the the society's teas and refreshments. Her wide interest in heraldry and friendly engagement with all she met will be greatly missed. | |

We are very sad to report that Tony
Ryan died before giving his lecture on 16th April 2016. His loss is deeply felt by the Society. Stephen Slater's obituary, published in the Heraldry Gazette in June 2016, can be read here. |
